BIATS Wednesbury Old Canal Walk – Wednesday 2nd August 2017
Our traditional Midlands canal walk will again be led by our former Chairperson & Secretary John Foley. This time we will be walking mainly on tow-paths, good tracks and pavements to look at Industrial features along the course of the Wednesbury Old Canal, an early waterway that opened in 1769; Refreshment stops and a pub lunch are included.
We travel by train from Gloucester 09:50, &/or Cheltenham 10:01, changing at Birmingham New St, where; at Stephenson St. we will join John Foley for the Metro Service to Wednesbury – Returning home around 19:00 to arrive at Cheltenham 20:10 and Gloucester at 20:20.
