RMA LUNCH TALKS
TUESDAY 10TH MAY 2pm IN THE PAVILION
THE IFAKARA BAKERY PROJECT AND THE FREE BREAD FUNDS – TANZANIA
The RMA (Retired members Association) regularly meet at Barnwood for lunch in the restaurant followed by a talk in the Pavilion at 2pm. Anyone working at Barnwood who is interested in the topic and is free to join them is very welcome to attend.
The next lunch meeting will be Tuesday 10th May and features a talk by Margaret and Eugene Schellenber on “The Ifakara Bakery Project and the Free Bread Funds – Tanzania”.
This started as a project to build the first bakery in a small town to help ensure food all year round even with a poor harvest and went onto be able to provide free bread to those most in need due to poverty. Fundraising continues to maintain the Free Bread Funds.
