The Tennis section has been selling used balls from league matches to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. We have raised £10.39 so far. Tubes of four balls are still available for a suggested £1 donation to the charity. See Alwin Wiederhold if you want to get a tube of balls. Most of the balls have been used in dry conditions for four sets of doubles during the summer league. They have had a thorough quality test of visual inspection, a thumb squeeze and a bounce onto a hard surface. Balls which failed the quality inspection were made available for dog owners with the remainder being donated to Teckels and someone making Xmas boxes for Cheltenham Animal Shelter.
