Reading Circle

Book club which meets monthly in a meeting room at Barnwood

We have a simple format: each member is invited to choose a book, and we meet once a month to chat about the book scheduled for that date. With the current membership, one set of choices lasts about a year. This results in a very varied reading list to which a common reaction is “I would never have thought of reading this, but I’m really glad I did”. Just for fun we each give a score out of 10, resulting in a ranking for nearly 200 ‘past reads’ so far.

If you would like to join us for one or more meetings, or just be added to the email distribution list and keep up to date with our reading list, contact Deryk Pavey. We meet every first Thursday of the month at 12:30, usually in one of the Barnwood ‘E’ meeting rooms.
