Sue Ryder Cycle Ride 25th June

The S&SC are helping the Sue Ryder Hospice promote some of their fundraising events this year, including the forthcoming CYCLE RIDE on Sunday 25th June…

Hospice cycling event back for 29th year

Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice’s popular Ride for Ryder sportive is back, offering cyclists at every level the opportunity to challenge themselves whilst helping to raise much needed funds for specialist hospice care.

The early bird catches the worm, so in celebration of its launch, cyclists signing up online before 17th April can grab themselves a special discount on the entrance fee.

Starting and finishing from top class sporting facilities at Dean Close School in Cheltenham, the 29th Ride for Ryder has options for a 35km, 90km or 130km ride.

Online advance registration is open now at www.sueryder.org/rideforrydersportive with Early Bird entrance fees just £5 for the 35km route and £20 for the 90km and 130km challenges.

Taking place on Sunday 25th June, the event is perfect for beginners, intermediate and experienced cyclists alike, using routes through the Cotswolds most glorious countryside including the picturesque villages of Broadway, Willersey and Weston-Sub-Edge.

Riders will enjoy registration and rider support from British Cycling, fully signed route with feed station en route (for the 90 and 130km riders), water stations, a complimentary post ride hot food voucher for everyone signing up online in advance, medical and mechanical support and a finisher’s medal.

Cyclists raising money in sponsorship also have the opportunity to get their hands on an exclusive Sue Ryder charity cycling jersey if they raise £100 or more.

As a charity, the hospice’s services are all given free of charge but it costs £8,000 to keep these services running. Ride for Ryder: The Sportive is one way in which you can get involved to raise much needed funds for the hospice.
