Hereford, Ross & Gloucester Railway with Martin Connop-Price.
Martin’s illustrated talk will begin with an account of the opening day as experienced by the people of Ross, and continues by taking us on a journey from Gloucester to Ross. The second half starts with an account of the 1869 gauge conversion before resuming the journey from Ross to Hereford. There is also a brief diversion to get a glimpse of the branch from Ross to Lydbrook Junction.
