As previously notified, the S&SC Committee have been reviewing the Club Rules, with a view to updating them to reflect changes in the way in which the Club operates and interacts with the EDF company.
A draft was issued for consultation in July 2018 and feedback has been received, reviewed, and where appropriate incorporated in the changes.
A final version of the proposed new Rules has now been prepared ready to be voted on at the Club AGM which will take place on 23rd January. This final version and an updated summary of the changes can be found on the Documents page of this website for all members to review.
Please note that only Voting Members as defined in the current version of the Rules will be eligible to vote on the changes – this includes Ordinary Members (ie EDF Employee Members) and Life Members (retired EDF employee members) but not Site Members (contractors) or Family or Associate Members. However, going forward then under the amended rules any contractors working at Barnwood will become eligible to join as ordinary members and would be able to vote on any future changes.
The Committee are looking to achieve a quorum of Voting Members at the forthcoming AGM to enable us to progress the ratification of the amended rules. Please attend if you can.
