Following the closure of the S&SC Office due to Covid-19 we are pleased to announce that we will be re-opening from Wed 29th July.
Club Admin Assistant Sue Barrett will be in the office on a regular basis, usually Wednesdays and/or Thursdays from 29th July. As with the rest of Barnwood, social distancing measures and other Covid-19 precautions will be in place. Given the small size of the office and location off the corridor to the restaurant we request that, in order to manage this effectively, anyone wishing to visit the office contacts Sue in advance if possible to arrange it. Please do not enter the office unless invited to do so in a safe manner, and if necessary longer conversations may be re-located to a more spacious area. To minimise handling of cash please make any payments to the S&SC by BACS if possible. If there is a need to pay via cash in the office then please try to have the exact money and place it in an envelope.
Sue will be dealing with general membership queries, membership renewals and locker rentals and will be able to liaise with myself and the Committee regarding wider S&SC matters.
Sue will be contactable by phone or email (details available in Outlook) on the days when she is in the office. Anna will continue to be contactable by email whilst working from home, although will be taking periods of leave in the coming weeks, in which case Sue or S&SC Committee members will be able to assist.
As things stand at the moment, S&SC activities remain as previously announced, with the tennis courts now available to members out of hours but the pavilion and gym both remaining closed. As and when there is the potential for section activities to re-start again we are liaising with section committees and EDF’s Pandemic Working Group (for Barnwood based activities) and will continue to update this website when there are new developments.
